LaborLooks Hospital Maternity Gowns offer the "mom-to-be" a designer quality, super comfortable and practical alternative to the traditional hospital gowns that are worn during labor and delivery.  Designed by a Labor & Delivery Nurse and a Certified Nurse Midwife and OBGYN...these gowns were thoughtfully designed to help mom feel more comfortable on one of the most amazing days of her life!  

They not only meet the needs of mom, but they meet the requirements for the hospital and/or birthing center who need to care for mom during labor, delivery and recovery.

Why Moms (and caregivers) Love Them:

  • Full snap-down sleeves allow for simple breastfeeding and more skin-to-skin contact
  • Adjustable side ties allow for moms back to be completely covered 
  • Side ties also enable mom to put on and take off her own gown without assistance
  • Gown design allows for comfortable movement while sitting on a birthing ball or laying in bed
  • Ties at the neck and waste allow for easy epidural access

Laboring and recovering women often ask us if they can wear their own clothes in the hospital. As much as we try to support this request, it typically does not work. There are practical reasons hospital gowns are used during and following labor: IV access, epidural access, fetal heart rate monitoring, baby access and breastfeeding-- to name a few. Normal clothing does not allow for the efficient access we need to provide the best care possible for mom and baby. 

We want women to have something familiar to wear--something practical, comfortable and reasonably priced that they can bring with them to the hospital. Women plan for quite some time to have a baby (or at least 9-months) and should have a comfortable and stylish gown-- something they actually want to wear on that special day-- something that will look good in pictures for years to come. 

There are a few companies out there with similar ideas, but either the gowns are impractical for the hospital setting or highly overpriced. Our goal is to allow everyday Moms (like myself!) to have the opportunity to be comfortable and confident in their dress while in the hospital.

Maternity gown is exactly what I wanted-soft, functional, & fits perfectly. What truly impressed me, however, was the customer service I was offered. Received a personal apology that my item was out of stock-last one had just sold, & wasn't enough time between transactions to have been reflected on the site- then they went through the trouble of tracking down another, via a different vendor, to fulfill the sale! Rare to find that level of service... They’ve won me over- I’m a loyal customer now!
